VAIL DANCE FESTIVAL ARTIST RELIEF FUND

In order to support the Vail Dance Festival’s valued community of dancers, musicians, choreographers, and performing arts production professionals whose livelihoods were dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vail Dance Festival leadership felt it was crucial to establish an Artist Relief Fund to help alleviate their financial hardships. This initiative was launched in conjunction with the Sustaining Fund Campaign that ran June 1 – September 30, 2020. During that time, 10% of all gifts were allocated to the Artist Relief Fund. A generous gift from the Vail Dance Festival Committee kicked off the campaign.

Artists who participated in the 2018 or 2019 Festivals, and/or who were scheduled to participate in summer 2020, were eligible to apply for a relief grant. Through the generosity of our donors, 64 artists were awarded $3,000 each. Many thanks to our wonderful Vail Dance Festival Community!
